A great Route 66 restaurant in a Historic home on the quaint town square in downtown Waynesville, Mo with the best fresh homemade food that satisfies this ‘Roadie and Foodie’s’ tummy, heart and soul. Julie and her family have truly created a ‘must stop’ on any Route 66 tourists road trip. Locals love it, too!

I LOVE Nona's Kitchen. This area does not have a lot of real home cooked food, and Julie does it better than my mum. As a person with a lot of dietary restrictions (celiacs, dairy intolerance etc....) its nice to be able to find a good local restaurant with friendly staff, excellent food, and someone in the kitchen who will modify lots of different menu items, in any which way, to try to accommodate guests with food sensitivities, allergies and intollerance. But please, for the love of all things holy, do not ask her for a gluten free meal and then eat a bite of your dining companions pizza, she will sterilize that kitchen top to bottom to reduce risks for people with real food restrictions...this hurts efficiency and damages it for the rest of us ! Best food ever. Try her Chicken Salad and or Smoked Wings and you will never be the same again.

Delicious fresh and homemade everything.(besides bottled drinks, of course) Very friendly waitresses who will remember you after your first few visits.(trust me, you will want to go back)

Wonderful small-town, family restaurant!

Have been twice. Service is slow, have attempted both times to order pulled pork tacos and they haven't been available. Food I did get chicken quarters was very tasty.

The atmosphere is incredible...like stepping into grandma's house. Very low prices and home cooking. I got the spinach artichoke pasta dinner. Came with salad and garlic bread for the measly price of $8.95. The temperature of the food wasn't hot enough... that would have earned them a 5th star.

We split the Sampler for lunch, and my hubby got a side salad to go with it. Everything was very tasty, staff was nice, and prices were reasonable. Good place to eat though parking around the town square is an issue, so get there before the rush!

Great place to stop in for a quick lunch. Ordered the Jax when I wanted the Luge, but it was still awesome. The sauteed onions on top were my favorite part. Also got a side salad and a Diet Coke. Drinks are served in bottles, no refills. Went around 1 for lunch with friends, every seat was full! My mom always said full tables (or parking lots) means they have good food. Friendly staff, clean restaurant.

Not friendly. Food so so and overpriced. I was so excited about going here and so disappointed.

I've had both good and not so good experiences here. Their food is good but service is normally slow even when there is hardly anyone there (it does get busy and there is limited seating). We went once and sat outside, they took our order then we waited about a hour for our food and when it arrived it was wrong. She never came back to check on us (didn't even bring us our bill) we had to go in and ask for things (napkins/utensils/the correct food). Food is good here though just don't go if you're in a hurry.

We recently had our wedding reception at Nona's and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so helpful with set up and did such a wonderful job serving all of our guests. Thank you, Nona's, for a perfect evening!

Incredibly friendly people who work and own this place! Not only did the have some tasty food that was vegetarian (hard to find in this part of the US), but they were kind and helpful to a tired (and probably smelly) cycle tourist looking for a spot to camp! They also had root beer by the bottle rather than on tap! A small detail but I think it tastes a little better from the bottle and makes it a bit nicer to drink too!

Great food if you can get there in time. People can call in reservations by phone . You may show after they start serving dinner but they will probably be out of the daily special due to phone orders earlier in day ...

It's tasty food specializing in pork. We've been a few times and have enjoyed each. If they run our of pork the meatballs are a solid secondary opinion. My only real complaint is that they only serve bottled drinks. Will return.

This was a great home cooked style meal. I had the pulled pork tacos and the meat, coleslaw, and sauce were all exceptional. It was so good I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came with home made chips and what tasted like a fresh baked bun. Would highly recommend this location.

This place is a mom & daughter owned cafe. It has a down-home feel and the owners are super nice folks. The food is very good with that homemade feel and taste. Oh, and the baked goods... yum.
